5.3 How Market Coverage Affects Your Search Results
Use the video below to see how market coverage works and how to adjust it for more precise results.
How Market Coverage Affects Your Search Results
When you search for an asset in Portfolio Metrics, your results depend on which markets are included in your search scope.
PortfolioMetrics supports a wide range of global markets. To ensure no assets are missed, all supported markets are enabled by default. This means a single ticker search can return multiple instruments listed on different exchanges or in different regions.
When should I adjust Market Coverage?
You may want to customize your market coverage if:
- you see multiple results for the same ticker
- you want to focus on a specific region or country
- you’re comparing instruments within a defined market scope
How to adjust Market Coverage
- Click Select Market Coverage in the search interface
- Use quick options (e.g. North America, Europe) or customize by region and country
- Save your selection to refine your search results
Market Coverage helps you balance global discovery with individual precision - you see everything by default, but stay in control of what matters to you.
